SEA (Search Engine Advertising) is paid search engine optimization. This web traffic acquisition technique involves bidding on keywords to appear in the first search results for that keyword. Search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) use thousands of criteria to determine the bid that is most consistent with the query made, and thus rank paid ads in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

Paid search complements SEO (Search Engine Optimization). It's important to analyze indicators and metrics in order to optimize SEA campaigns effectively. That is, by maximizing the number of visits and conversions on the website and minimizing expenses.
